Editors Opinion

  • The Asics GT3000-2 is a good shoe for a niche market of late stage over-pronators.  However, for a supposedly new shoe, the updates are very small, especially with the introduction of a new midsole compound, as seen on the GT2000-2.

The Asics GT3000-2 is a great shoe for late stage over-pronators.  It combies Gel, Solyte foam and a Dynamic Duomax support system to provide excellent cushioning and support.

Key Technologies:

  • Solyte midsole
  • Gel in the Heel and Forefoot
  • Guidance Line and Trustic
  • Dynamic Duomax support system

The updates are very minimal  Although the change in logo positioning is a positive step in solving a problem that Asics have had for a while, it is not enough to just update that and nothing else, but still call it a new shoe.  I'd have liked to have seen the new midsole compound on the shoe.  I give it a 7 out of 10
