Editors Opinion

  • The Mizuno Wave Paradox is the best of both the Nirvana and the Alchemy, offering excellent support and superb cushioning.  Be careful though, as if you do not need this level of support, it will be too much for you
  • 8/10
  • RRP £115

The Mizuno Wave Paradox combines the best of both the Wave Alchemy and the Wave Nirvana series, offering a maximum support shoe, that has a huge amount of cushioning.  Using the new U4ic midsole, the shoe remains relatively light, at just 320g for a maximum support shoe.

Key Technologies:

  • U4ic midsole for superb, lightweight cushioning
  • Double, Full length fan wave, for stability, support, and impact dispersion
  • Welded overlays mean less stitching, and a more comfortable fit.

The combination of cushioning and support mean that this shoe feels a lot softer than the old Alchemy, but more stable than the Nirvana.  You get an excellently soft ride, and superb structure, however, if you don't need this much support, then it will be too full on.  I give it an 8 out of 10
